PANEL ON SAFE AND GREEN BUILDINGS IN THE CENTURY OF TÜRKİYE
A panel on “Safe and Green Buildings in the
Century of Türkiye” was held at the Faculty of
Engineering. Director General of Construction
Works/Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and
Climate Change Banu Aslan, Head of Disaster
Damage Assessment Department/General
Directorate of Construction Works/Ministry of
Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change
Tuğrul Sezdirmez, Head of Foreign Investments
Department/Director General of Construction
Works/ Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and
Climate Change Esra Turan Tombak attended the
panel as speakers. Making an opening speech at
the event, our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun gave
information about the safe and green buildings of
our university and talked about the steps to be
taken in this regard.

Change Esra Turan Tombak stated that
buildings should always be safe and use
energy more efficiently. She also talked
about the energy efficiency projects
conducted by the General Directorate
and drew attention to the importance of
energy efficiency for the development
level of a country. Director General of
Construction Works/Ministry of
Environment, Urbanization and Climate
Change Banu Aslan gave information
about the duties of the General
Directorate of Construction Works. Then,
she answered the questions of students
and shared her experiences with the
participants.
