THE FIRST SURGERY WITH THE ROBOTIC TECHNOLOGY


             The first surgery with the robotic surgery system “Da

             Vinci”,  donated  to  our  university  hospital  by
             Demiryaka Holding, was performed.



             Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, Dean of the Faculty
             of  Medicine  Prof.  Dr.  Cemal  Alper  Kemaloğlu  and
             Chief Physician of Hospitals Prof. Dr. Fatih Horozoğlu
             made a statement together about the first surgery
             and  wished  the  new  system  to  be  auspicious  for

             Kayseri,    our    university     and     hospital.    Erciyes
             University has become the 7th university to have a
             Da Vinci Robot among all universities in Türkiye.









             DIABETES TREATMENT: MEDICATION, NUTRITION AND EXERCISE




             In  her  statement  on  the  occasion  of  “November  14
             World  Diabetes  Day”,  Prof.  Dr.  Nihal  Hatipoğlu,  a
             faculty  member  at  the  Department  of  Pediatric
             Endocrinology/ERU Faculty of Medicine, stated that
             it  was  an  opportunity  to  draw  attention  to  the

             importance of diabetes and to the support provided
             for the people with diabetes. She said that they held
             a series of events to give hope to the children with

             diabetes.
             Giving     information      about     diabetes,     Professor
             Hatipoğlu touched upon its symptoms. In addition,
             she  stated  that  the  basic  elements  of  diabetes
             treatment  are  medication,  nutrition  and  exercise.

             She also said that its is not a life-threatening or life-
             limiting disease and pointed out that the struggles
             that  start  with  awareness  will  shed  light  and  hope

             for our future with the contribution of each of us..
