SUSTAINABLE NATURE

Some of the Western Spruces on the campus of the Faculty of Medicine were
transformed into wooden sculptures by the ERU Faculty of Fine Arts as part of

the “Sustainable Nature” project, as their vital activities had ended and they
had completely dried up. In addition, 10 saplings were planted on the same
day. Thus, our green campus was protected by increasing the number and
beauty of the trees.

BREATH FOR THE FUTURE, BREATH FOR THE REPUBLIC

An event on the occasion of “November 11 National
Afforestation Day”, organized every year by the General

Directorate of Forestry, was also held in 2023. What was
different from previous years was that this event
coincided with the 100th anniversary of the Republic. In
this regard, this year's event was called as “Breath for the
Future, Breath for the Republic”. Everyone, young and

old, acted together to establish the 100th Year Republic
Forests in 2023 locations across the country.

The ERU Sustainability Student Community also participated in the event held
in Kuşçu Neighborhood around Yamula Dam in Kayseri. After a long and fun
journey, the community students planted saplings.
