NATURE WALK
The Sustainability Student Community, Young TEMA,
Environment and Zero Waste Clubs organized a nature
walk on November 18, 2023 to raise awareness on soil
erosion. Berna Akın, a lecturer at ERCEVREM, planted a
representative pine sapling against soil erosion. Acorn
seed planting training was provided by Kayseri TEMA as
part of the event. Kayseri TEMA Provincial
Representative Abdülkadir Dağlı presented the first
planted seed to Şükrü Çiftçi, Student Representative of
ERU Sustainability Coordination Office.
COUNT ME IN
As part of the project entitled “Count Me In”,
conducted by our university and TUBITAK, an event
called “Provide Your Own Milk” was held at the
Faculty of Veterinary Medicine for the students with
special needs.
Vice-Dean Asst. Prof. İmdat Orhan, Project
Coordinator Prof. Dr. Emine Güneri, academic staff of
Erciyes University and students studying at 75th
Year Istiklal Special Education and Rehabilitation
Center attended the event.
At the event, milking a model cow was practiced in
the application workshop to enable the students
with special needs to gain the practice of milking. In
addition, Prof. Dr. Emine Güneri gave information
about the project.
