CAMPUS BEAUTIFICATION CONTINUES



             With  the  support  of  Kayseri  Metropolitan  Mayor  Dr.  Memduh  Büyükkılıç,  the
             seating  areas  within  the  ERU  Medical  Faculty  campus  turned  into  an  area
             where our students will have a good time.





























             GENE GARDEN




        As  part  of  the  project  prepared  in  partnership  with
        the General Directorate of Combating Desertification
        and  Erosion  of  the  Ministry  of  Environment,
        Urbanization  and  Climate  Change  and  Erciyes

        University, a gene garden consisting of 250 wild pear
        trees  of  different  genotypes  collected  from  20
        provinces  of  Türkiye  was  established.  The  wild  pear
        tree, which is drought-tolerant, is of great importance

        in terms of global climate change.              Minister of Environment, Urbanization and

                                                        Deputies      Murat      Cahid     Cıngı,    Şaban
                                                        Çopuroğlu  and  Bayar  Özsoy  visited  the
                                                        Natural  Hawthorn  and  Wild  Pear  Gene

                                                        Garden  together  with  our  Rector  Prof.  Dr.
                                                        Fatih  Altun    and  received  information
                                                        about  the  R&D  project  conducted  in
                                                        cooperation  with  ERU  and  the  General

                                                        Directorate  of  Combating  Desertification
