EVENT ON MARCH 30 INTERNATIONAL DAY OF ZERO WASTE

In cooperation with the Provincial Directorate of
Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change,
Melikgazi Municipality, Faculty of Fine Arts,

Environmental Problems and Clean Production
Research and Application Center (ERCEVREM),
Department of Environmental
Engineering/Faculty of Engineering and

Sustainability Coordination Office, an awareness
event was held on the occasion of “March 30
International Day of Zero Waste”.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, Vice-Rectors

Prof. Dr. Oktay Özkan and Prof. Dr. Sultan Taşcı,
Provincial Director of Environment, Urbanization
and Climate Change Sibel Livdumlu, academics,
students and guests attended the event held at

Sabancı Cultural Complex.
Asst. Prof. İbrahim Uyanık, Co-Head of the
Environmental Engineering Department, made a
presentation on “Zero Waste”. Then, a zero

waste fashion show was performed by the ERU
Day-care Center students. In addition, the guests
visited the exhibition on recycling from wastes
prepared by the ERU Faculty of Fine Arts and

Melikgazi Municipality.

OCTOBER 14 INTERNATIONAL ELECTRONIC WASTE

DAY

On the occasion of October 14 International
Electronic Waste Day, university staff were
asked to bring their electronic waste to the

electronic waste collection area located in the
Office of Dean for Research on October 12, 2023.
In this way, electronic waste was cleaned and
recycled for reuse.
