ZERO WASTE AWARENESS TRAINING AND SUSTAINABILITY ACTIVITIES

Students of ERU School of Foreign
Languages Preparatory Class participated in
the Zero Waste Awareness Training,

mentored by Asst. Prof. Aysın Demir and
Lecturer Dilek Öztürk. In addition to this
training, information was given about the
sustainability activities of our university.

Berna Akın, Lecturer at ERCEVREM and Member of Sustainability Commission,
talked about the concept of Zero Waste, our university's zero waste journey,
achievements and environmental sustainability activities. Students were
informed about their responsibilities and what they can do individually. Then,

Melike Yazman, Representative of Sustainability Coordination Office, made a
presentation on “Sustainable University”.

STEP BY STEP TOWARDS SUSTAINABLE LIVING

An interview on Step by Step Towards Sustainable
Living, moderated by Lect. Berna AKIN, was held

with the participation of Dr. Zeynep İNANÇ, the
Founding President of Step by Step Zero Waste
Association. Participants were informed about

raising awareness on the progress of Sustainable
Development Goals, developing a zero waste
strategy and what they can do individually.

INTERVIEWS ON ENVIRONMENT

On the occasion of the World Environment Day, an online event, entitled
'Interviews on Environment', was held on June 5, 2023 with the participation of
ERCEVREM Director Assoc. Prof. Hamdi Mıhçıokur and Environmental
Engineer Murat Çilingiroğlu.
